This is the F-111B, the Naval version of the F-111 Aardvark. The aircraft had already been rejected by the Navy, but since Congress had paid for carrier trials, they were held (spend it or lose it). They took place on July 23/24 1968 Aboard USS Coral Sea (CVA-43).
